Haryana State Games to Begin in Gurugram on Nov 2nd : DC Ajay Kumar Reviews Preparations

Instructions given on player accommodation, transportation, and security arrangements

Gurugram : Haryana’s biggest sporting event, the Haryana State Games, will begin on November 2nd at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium and Nehru Stadium. This six-day sports festival will continue until November 7th. Thousands of players and coaches from across the state will participate in the event. The competition is being organized under the banner of the Haryana State Olympic Association.

DC Ajay Kumar held a meeting with officials in the auditorium of the Mini Secretariat on Tuesday and reviewed the preparations in detail. He said that these games in Gurugram will provide an opportunity for the state’s young players to showcase their talent, and therefore, no shortcomings should be left at any level. Officials from the Police Department, Municipal Corporation, Transport Department, Health Department, and Public Relations Department attended the meeting. The DC stated that the arrangements for players’ accommodation, food, transportation, security, and sanitation should be of the highest standard. He specifically directed that smooth traffic flow be ensured from the players’ accommodation to the sports venues, ensuring no inconvenience to anyone.

DC Ajay Kumar also directed the deployment of mobile health department teams and ambulance services to handle medical emergencies during sporting events. He directed the Municipal Corporation and GMDA to expedite the completion of cleanliness and beautification work in the stadium area. DC Ajay Kumar stated that events like the State Games not only provide a platform for talent but also foster team spirit, discipline, and state pride. Therefore, it should be our priority to ensure that athletes attending the sporting events leave Gurugram with a positive experience.

ADC Vatsal Vashisht, Secretary of Haryana Rera, Anu, Additional Municipal Commissioner Ravindra Yadav, CTM Sapna Yadav, AEO Jagdish Ahlawat, and other officials were present at the meeting.
