External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar Meets US Indo-Pacific Commander, Discusses Security and Maritime Cooperation

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar met Admiral Samuel J. Paparo, Commander of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USPACOM), and discussed ways to further advance the India-US security partnership and maritime cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. US Ambassador Sergio Gore was also present . 

Sharing details of the meeting, Jaishankar said he was pleased to meet Admiral Paparo and highlighted discussions on strengthening bilateral security cooperation and expanding coordination in the maritime domain.

The talks focused on the growing importance of maritime security and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific, a region of strategic significance for both India and the United States.

The engagement reflects the continued efforts by India and the US to deepen their defence and security partnership, enhance maritime cooperation and work together on issues concerning regional security and stability.
