New Delhi: The wife of a Delhi Police Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), who was injured during the clashes between Delhi Police personnel and CJP protesters in the national capital on July 20, shared her family’s ordeal and the emotional impact of the incident.
Recalling the events of that night, Upneet Kaur said that seeing her husband return home injured was one of the most distressing moments for their family. She described the experience as deeply painful and frightening, particularly for their two-year-old daughter.
“On the night of July 20, when my husband returned home in an injured state, that moment was extremely painful and terrifying for me and my two-year-old daughter,” she said.
The ACP’s wife added that she had come forward along with the family members of other Delhi Police personnel who were affected during the clashes to express their emotions and make their experiences known to the public.
“Today, I have come here with the families of other Delhi Police personnel so that we can share our pain with everyone,” she said.
Her remarks came as families of police personnel injured during the July 20 confrontation publicly spoke about the personal and emotional toll the incident had taken on them and their loved ones.
