World Environment Day : Gurugram University in Collaboration with Forest Department Organises Tree Plantation Drive

Gurugram : On the occasion of World Environment Day, a special tree plantation drive was organised at Gurugram University today in collaboration with Forest Department. The teachers and students of the university participated enthusiastically in the programme.

The objective of the event was to spread public awareness and encourage participation in the nationwide campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”. On this occasion, all the participants were appealed to plant at least one tree in the name of their mother. During the programme, discussions were held on the conservation, cleanliness and greenery of the green area of ​​the Aravalli mountain range and the Aravalli Green Wall. The speakers stressed the importance of keeping the Aravalli region green and highlighted its environmental benefits.

During the programme, DFO Rajkumar requested all the citizens to take active part in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign and plant at least one tree in the name of their mother, so that a clean, green and healthy future can be ensured.

On this occasion Dr. Suman Vashishth, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Garg, Dr. Ashok Khanna, Dr. Bhupesh Sharma along with students and other staff of the university were present.
